Does anyone know of any handheld scanners other than the one you have to install for the nokia n82 phone? I've got a big scanner that is next to my computer, but I'm not really going to put the food packaging inside it and start kurzweil up. Not if I just want to read the information on it.

I think someone did a post on this tpoci awhile back. I worked with one, and I wasn't impressed. It looked like a windshield whiper from a car. You had to exert just the right amount of pressure and go at a certain speed as you were passing it over the surface you were reading. I've used kurzweil for just what you suggested. I have saved those scans for the future so I xcan go back and refresh my memory.

I've used Kurzweil for scanning most things, including crisps for some strange reason, but didn't know how my scanner would take frozen stuff. Hahahaha.

Hmm. Never tried that. Now, you have me curious. I can't imagine it would do well, but now i have to try it and see.
